Level: Preliminary
Coach: Joleen Goodfellow
How I started skating: My mom started skating first. I would go skating with her but I didn't want to take Learn to Skate. One
day Joleen asked me if I wanted to take lessons with my mom and I did. I took with her for two months in the summer of
2008 and started private lessons by myself that fall.
Favorite skater: Yuna Kim; because my sister in-law is from Korea and adores her so I've been watching her too and she is a great
skater; my idol.
Favorite thing about skating:
When you learn a new jump it's exciting and once you get it perfectly it's fun to do. Also, I love to compete because
when you get a good score it makes you feel happy but if you get a bad score it makes you feel a little sad but you can try
again. One of my most favorite things is my coach she is a very good coach. She pushes hard which I like because it makes
me a better skater. Least favorite thing about skating: Is getting
hurt but the more you try the better you get, so really I love it all.
Skating goals: To
get my doubles solid and ready for the Winter Games competition. Also work hard on my other jumps, spins, and moves so I can
move on.
What else to know about me:
I am the youngest of 8 children and I have 2 sister in-laws and 2 brother in-laws. I am also
an aunt of 2 girls and 1 boy. I play the violin and love to be creative and hang out with my friends and family.
